Cell Salt - Silicea (Silica)
Silicea is a major remedy to promote suppuration. Symptoms that occur periodically on a regular basis point to the use of Silicea. Symptoms due to defective nutrition can benefit from this remedy.
This remedy can expel foreign objects from the body, such as pins, screws and other medical devices so it should not be used if any type of implant is in the body.
- Abscess - helps the abscess to suppurate.
- Extremities - nails brittle and crippled; ingrowing nails; offensive foot sweat.
- Eyes - stye on the eyelid or around eyes; sensitive to light. Alternate with Ferrum Phos. for the inflammation.
- Hair, Falling Out - impoverished condition of the hair, lackluster. A valuable hair conditioner.
- Hay Fever - itching and tingling of the nose with violent sneezing.
- Mind - anxious; despondent; peevish; attention wanders, cannot concentrate; sensitive to noise; plays with pins and needles, counting them over and over.
KEYNOTES
- Symptoms Worse - cold; during menses; during new moon; night; open air; uncovering; lying down.
- Symptoms Better - warmth; warm room; cold food (except for gastric symptoms).
RECOMMENDED POTENCY - 3X, 6X, 12X, 30X
DOSAGE - 4 tablets/pills per dose. Take 3 times a day. If after 4 or 5 days there is no relief, discontinue use. If you see a measurable improvement in condition, stop taking the remedy - allow the body to finish the healing process. Take again only when needed.
